Hey! I’m finishing High School in outside the U.S and have a CAE level of english, as well as family in the U.S, but they are not inmediate (grandfather’s brother and his family). Is there any possibility I could get a Green Card? My goal is to join the Armed Forces, but they all require the Green Card, and I don’t think that I’m elegible. Any thoughts?

    • Unfortunately, just having a high school degree and having strong English skills is not enough to obtain a green card in the US. And unfortunately cousins and uncles cannot file family-based immigrant petitions for a green cards for their nephews and cousins. For a family-based sponsorship for a green card US citizens can only apply for their spouse, parents, children, and siblings. But it might be possible for you to come to the US to attend college on a student visa. But that would not allow you to join the US military.
